Retinal Detachment: The retina is a layer of tissue that lines the inside of your eye and sends visual messages to the brain. When the retina is detached it is pulled or lifted from its original position. If not treated promptly, retinal detachment can lead to permanent vision loss.

Macular degeneration: Macular degeneration, also known as age-related macular degeneration, is the leading cause of vision loss in the United States. This condition is commonly found among people over the age of 60, however, early signs of macular degeneration can be seen among people in their 40’s and 50’s.

Diabetic Retinopathy: Individuals who are diabetic may also have an eye disease called diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy is caused when blood vessels in the retina are damaged due to high blood sugar levels. These blood vessels can swell, leak or even close, which can eventually lead to vision loss.
